Job summary

WellLife Network in New York seeks an EES Specialist to manage systems tracking benefit applications and appeals. You’ll educate consumers on options, explain consequences, and liaise with government agencies until self-advocacy is achieved.

Role requires an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and strong communication, documentation, and MS Office skills. Willingness to travel to agencies is expected, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to follow up and document thoroughly; MS Office knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Screen consumers to assess eligibility for private and/or governmental benefits.
• Assist consumers in completing applications to apply, appeal, and maintain benefits.
• Prepare narrative, Excel reports, and statistics on benefits status.
• Maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Travel to agencies and provide training to staff and external partners.
• Maintain department database and document incoming mail/documents.
