Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking an EES Specialist in Elmont, NY to manage systems tracking benefit applications and appeals, explain options to consumers, and liaise with government agencies until individuals are educated to advocate for themselves.

The role requires an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), strong communication and documentation skills, and experience with mental health populations. Travel to agencies may be required; confidentiality and data accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Experience with mental health and developmental disabilities populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen consumers to assess eligibility for private and governmental benefits.
• Assist consumers in completing all required applications to apply, appeal and maintain benefits.
• Maintain confidentiality in respect of HIPAA laws at all times.
• Travel to governmental and private agencies as needed (ALJ hearings, interviews, SSA visits).
• Prepare narratives, Excel spreadsheets and statistical reports on benefits status.
