Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking an EES Specialist in Elmont, NY to manage, track, and explain benefit applications and appeals. You will liaise with governmental agencies to educate consumers until they can advocate for themselves.

The role requires strong communication and documentation skills, knowledge of benefits processes, and the ability to travel to agencies as needed. A degree in a related field is preferred, with a valid NY driver’s license and vehicle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Must have valid New York State driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality in respect to HIPAA laws at all times.
• Screen consumers to assess eligibility for private and/or governmental benefits.
• Assist consumers in completing applications for benefits, appeals, and maintenance.
• Travel to governmental/private agencies for hearings and interviews as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of consumer’s financial status.
• Prepare consumer allowances as necessary and maintain balances.
