WellLife Network in New York seeks an EES Specialist to manage and operate systems tracking benefit applications and appeals, providing consumers with options and explaining consequences of their financial situations.

The role requires coordinating with government agencies, travelling to ALJ hearings and Social Security visits, maintaining accurate records, and producing narratives and statistical reports on benefits status.

Qualificações

• Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow up and document meticulously.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities populations preferred.
• Valid New York State drivers license and access to a vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain confidentiality in respect to HIPAA at all times.
• Screen consumers to assess eligibility for private or governmental benefits.
• Assist consumers in completing applications to apply, appeal, and maintain benefits.
• Travel to governmental/private agencies for hearings and interviews.
• Be knowledgeable of consumers' financial status.
• Maintain accurate department database information.
• Prepare consumer allowances as necessary.
• Prepare narrative, Excel reports on benefits status in a timely fashion.
• Notify department members of emergencies.
• Provide in-service training to WellLife Network staff and external agencies as needed.
• Support in staffing shortages as needed.
• Ensure information accuracy in department systems.
