Job summary

AON in Independence, Ohio is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support Account Managers, Executives and Consultants in day-to-day client servicing of employee benefit plans. You will assist with client administration, carrier communications, enrollments, and ongoing service requests while developing a strong understanding of employee benefits products and industry practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of benefits administration, Health Care Reform, industry trends, carrier products and service.

Responsibilities

• Gains exposure to clients and carrier contacts; attends meetings and calls, may take an active role with clients.
• Assist the Client Representative in developing solicitations for insurance company bids and compiling data on results, benefits, and rates in spreadsheets.
• Reviews client documents and summary of benefits and coverage for accuracy under the direction of higher-level colleagues.
• Builds and keeps client files in accordance with office procedures.
• Answers administrative questions from clients and/or insurance company personnel such as ID card request, claims or billing questions.
