Riot Platforms, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support the Total Rewards function in Round Rock, TX. This role focuses on the benefits lifecycle, open enrollment, and employee inquiries, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of programs.

You'll collaborate with the Benefits & Compensation Specialist and vendor partners, gaining exposure to Medical, 401(k), retirement plans, and wellness initiatives in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience in an HR or Benefits capacity.
• Exposure to employee benefit programs (Medical, 401(k), etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Administration: coordinate benefits enrollment to life events and terminations.
• Inquiry Management: respond to benefit questions for medical, dental, vision, retirement.
• Vendor & Billing Support: reconcile monthly invoices and resolve enrollment discrepancies.
• Open Enrollment Support: assist with data testing and materials distribution.
• Program Assistance: support wellness, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
• Employee Communications: create benefits communications to raise awareness.
• LOA: assist leave of absence administration with vendors.

About This Role

The Benefits Coordinator is a foundational role within the Total Rewards team, serving as the operational support engine for Riot’s benefits functions. Reporting directly to the Manager, Total Rewards, this role works in close partnership with and under the guidance of the Benefits & Compensation Specialist to ensure seamless day-to-day delivery of employee programs.

This position is designed for an early-career professional with at least one year of experience who is eager to grow their expertise across the Total Rewards landscape.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Round Rock, TX office.

What You'll Do

Benefits & Wellness Coordination

• Lifecycle Administration: Support the Benefits & Compensation Specialist in coordinating the benefits lifecycle, from new hire enrollment to life event changes and terminations.
• Inquiry Management: Respond to foundational benefit questions regarding medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, ensuring a high-touch employee experience.
• Vendor & Billing Support: Assist in reconciling monthly benefit invoices and coordinating with vendors to resolve eligibility or enrollment discrepancies.
• Open Enrollment Support: Provide "all-hands" support during annual open enrollment, assisting with data testing, material distribution, and employee help desk coverage.
• Program Assistance: Support the administration of ancillary programs such as wellness initiatives, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
• Employee Communications: Create clear, compelling benefits communications that increase employee awareness and engagement.
• LOA: Assistwith leave of absence administration in partnership with vendors

Team Collaboration & Governance

• Cross-Functional Support: Provide backup support for the broader Total Rewards team as needed
• Process Documentation: Help maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Total Rewards workflows.
• Systems & Reporting: Assist the team in generating basic reports and performing data audits to ensure system health across all Total Rewards platforms.
• Payroll Support: Collaborate with payroll to communicate leave-of-absence status changes and ensure deductions are applied accurately and on time.

What You'll Bring

• 1+ year of professional experience in an HR or Benefits capacity.
• Exposure to employee benefit programs (Medical, 401(k), etc.).
• Operational Mindset: A strong desire to learn the "how-to" of Total Rewards and a commitment to operational excellence.
• High Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors in data and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
• Customer Service: Professional and empathetic communication style when helping employees with sensitive benefit questions.
• Technical Aptitude: Experience with Microsoft Excel (filters, basic formulas) and an interest in learning complex systems.
• Accountability: Ability to thrive in a non-exempt environment by managing time effectively and meeting strict deadlines
