Job summary

Riot Platforms Inc is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join the Total Rewards team in a hybrid role based out of Round Rock, TX. The position supports benefits lifecycle, inquiries, vendor and billing tasks, and open enrollment activities to deliver high-touch employee programs.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of HR or Benefits experience, exposure to medical/dental/retirement plans, strong data accuracy, and customer service mindset. This role offers growth in total rewards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience in an HR or Benefits capacity.
• Exposure to employee benefit programs (Medical, 401(k), etc.).
• Operational mindset and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Administration: support benefits lifecycle from enrollment to life events and terminations.
• Inquiry Management: respond to benefit questions and provide high-touch employee experience.
• Vendor & Billing Support: reconcile invoices and coordinate with vendors on eligibility or enrollment discrepancies.
• Open Enrollment Support: assist with data testing, material distribution, and help desk coverage.
• Program Assistance: support wellness initiatives, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
• Employee Communications: create clear benefits communications to raise awareness.
• LOA: assist with leave of absence administration with vendors.
• Cross-Functional Support: backup for broader Total Rewards team.
• Process Documentation: maintain SOPs for Total Rewards workflows.
• Systems & Reporting: generate basic reports and data audits across Total Rewards platforms.
• Payroll Support: coordinate with payroll on leave status changes and deductions.

About this role

TheBenefitsCoordinator is a foundational role within the Total Rewards team, serving as the operational support engine for Riot’s benefits functions. Reporting directly to the Manager, Total Rewards, this role works in close partnership with and under the guidance of the Benefits & Compensation Specialist to ensure seamless day-to-day delivery of employee programs.

This position is designed for an early-career professional with at least one year of experience who is eager to grow theirexpertiseacross the Total Rewards landscape.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Round Rock, TX office.

Whatyou'lldo

Benefits & Wellness Coordination

• Lifecycle Administration: Support the Benefits & Compensation Specialist in coordinating thebenefitslifecycle, from new hire enrollment to life event changes and terminations.


• Inquiry Management: Respond to foundational benefit questionsregardingmedical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, ensuring a high-touch employee experience.


• Vendor & Billing Support: Assist in reconciling monthly benefit invoices and coordinating with vendors to resolve eligibility or enrollment discrepancies.


• Open Enrollment Support: Provide "all-hands" support during annual open enrollment,assistingwith data testing, material distribution, and employee help desk coverage.


• Program Assistance: Support the administration of ancillary programs such as wellness initiatives, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.


• Employee Communications:Create clear, compellingbenefitscommunications that increase employee awareness and engagement.


• LOA: Assistwith leave of absence administration in partnership with vendors


• Cross-Functional Support:Provide backup support for the broader Total Rewards team as needed


• Process Documentation: Helpmaintainand update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Total Rewards workflows.


• Systems & Reporting: Assist the team in generating basic reports and performing data audits to ensure system health across all Total Rewards platforms.


• Payroll Support:Collaborate with payroll to communicate leave-of-absence status changes and ensure deductions are applied accurately and on time.
