Riot Platforms in Round Rock, TX is hiring a Benefits Coordinator to join the Total Rewards team. This hybrid role provides operational support for employee benefits programs, reporting to the Manager of Total Rewards and assisting the Benefits & Compensation Specialist to ensure smooth day-to-day delivery.

You are an early-career HR or Benefits professional with at least one year of experience, comfort with medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plans, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience in HR or Benefits.
• Exposure to employee benefit programs (Medical, 401(k), etc.).
• Operational mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
• High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Customer service professionalism when helping employees with benefits questions.
• Technical aptitude with Microsoft Excel (filters, basic formulas).
• Accountability and ability to meet deadlines in a non-exempt environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate benefits lifecycle from enrollment to life events.
• Answer benefit questions regarding medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
• Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and assist with vendor communications.
• Support open enrollment activities and data testing.
• Administer ancillary programs such as wellness, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
• Create clear benefits communications for employees.
• Assist with leave of absence administration with vendors.
• Provide backup support for the Total Rewards team.
• Maintain SOPs and assist with system reporting and audits.
• Collaborate with payroll to communicate leave changes and deductions.

About this role

TheBenefitsCoordinator is a foundational role within the Total Rewards team, serving as the operational support engine for Riot’s benefits functions. Reporting directly to the Manager, Total Rewards, this role works in close partnership with and under the guidance of the Benefits & Compensation Specialist to ensure seamless day-to-day delivery of employee programs.

This position is designed for an early-career professional with at least one year of experience who is eager to grow theirexpertiseacross the Total Rewards landscape.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Round Rock, TX office.

What you'll do

Benefits & Wellness Coordination

• Lifecycle Administration: Support the Benefits & Compensation Specialist in coordinating thebenefitslifecycle, from new hire enrollment to life event changes and terminations.
• Inquiry Management: Respond to foundational benefit questionsregardingmedical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, ensuring a high-touch employee experience.
• Vendor & Billing Support: Assist in reconciling monthly benefit invoices and coordinating with vendors to resolve eligibility or enrollment discrepancies.
• Open Enrollment Support: Provide "all-hands" support during annual open enrollment,assistingwith data testing, material distribution, and employee help desk coverage.
• Program Assistance: Support the administration of ancillary programs such as wellness initiatives, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
• Employee Communications:Create clear, compellingbenefitscommunications that increase employee awareness and engagement.
• LOA: Assistwith leave of absence administration in partnership with vendors
• Cross-Functional Support:Provide backup support for the broader Total Rewards team as needed
• Process Documentation: Helpmaintainand update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Total Rewards workflows.
• Systems & Reporting: Assist the team in generating basic reports and performing data audits to ensure system health across all Total Rewards platforms.
• Payroll Support:Collaborate with payroll to communicate leave-of-absence status changes and ensure deductions are applied accurately and on time.
