Job summary

Sterling Search Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Representative to join its HR team in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on administering health and welfare programs, retirement plans, and leave-related benefits, while ensuring accurate and timely processing and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of benefits administration experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational and customer service skills. ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, HR, or a related administrative role.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Process benefits-related documentation and maintain accurate employee records.
• Serve as a resource for employees with questions regarding medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other benefit programs.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and employee communications.
• Assist with documentation related to short-term disability and workers’ compensation.
• Communicate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve benefits-related issues.
• Review and audit benefits records and invoices for accuracy.
• Prepare reports related to benefits participation, costs, and other program data.
• Provide support to the HR and Payroll teams on benefits initiatives, projects, and other administrative needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
