The Benefits Administrator is responsible for supporting the administration of employee benefits programs and maintaining accurate employee data within HR systems. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure benefits are delivered accurately, compliantly, and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms and a solid understanding of benefits operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions, enrollment support, and general HRIS‑related inquiries
- Coordinate benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR, payroll, and benefits platforms
- Support open enrollment planning, execution, and post‑enrollment audits
- Reconcile benefits billing and assist with issue resolution in partnership with vendors and payroll
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA)
- Run standard and ad hoc HRIS and benefits reports as needed
- Assist with testing, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of HRIS and benefits‑related system integrations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support HR process improvements and system enhancements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a related HR role
- Demonstrated experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Effective communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
- Benefits or HR certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM‑CP)
- Experience with system implementations, upgrades, or integrations
- Intermediate Excel or reporting skills
