Job summary

Boyd Group Services in Illinois seeks a Benefits Administrator to oversee day-to-day benefits programs and act as a SME for the HR Service Center. The role covers health, retirement, FSA/HSA, life and disability plans, with focus on accurate enrollment and reporting.

You will collaborate with HRIS, support open enrollment, and contribute to benefit design decisions through data-driven insights and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of Benefits Administration experience including processes, reporting and support for benefit plans (health, group life, disability, 401(k), FSA/HSA).
• 2+ years of hands-on HRIS and benefit enrollment system experience, Workday preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).

Responsibilities

• Administer day-to-day benefits programs (health, retirement, FSA/HSA, life, disability) per plan documents.
• Act as benefits SME, training HR Service Center and broader HR teams.
• Analyze benefit processes and propose improvements for user experience.
• Manage deductions and 401(k) contributions and payroll-related transactions.
• Lead open enrollment planning, carrier changes, communications, testing and data validation.
• Collaborate with HRIS to ensure enrollment reflects plan design and produce reports.
• Lead benefits communications and promotional campaigns.
• Document and update benefits procedures and employee communications.
• Work with Benefits Director on benchmarking and plan design considerations.
• Contribute to other Benefits or HR initiatives as needed.
• Participate in special projects as requested.
