Job summary

USI Insurance Services is hiring an EB Account Manager in San Francisco to manage employee benefits accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients. You will provide consultative guidance, oversee service delivery, and ensure client satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.

You will manage a book of business, coordinate with insurance carriers, educate clients on compliance matters, and support renewal processes and program implementations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in employee benefits or related marketplace.
• Strong understanding of employee benefit plan design, funding arrangements, and compliance requirements.
• Active Life and Disability insurance license or ability to obtain within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business, primarily fully insured clients with some self-insured plans.
• Serve as main liaison between clients and insurance carriers with proactive, personalized support.
• Educate and advise clients on employee benefits compliance matters (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500).
• Set up new group insurance contracts and oversee annual renewal process, including changes.
• Implement and manage client programs such as wellness initiatives and communication strategies.
• Support marketing and placement of new benefit products via carrier evaluations and quotes.
• Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Champion cross-selling and grow client relationships.
• Coordinate client meetings, including on-site when needed.
• Develop employee communications for renewals and enrollment and resolve billing issues.
