Job summary

USI is seeking an EB Account Manager in Virginia to oversee a book of business, primarily fully insured, with some self-insured plans. You will serve as the day-to-day contact for clients and carriers, delivering consultative guidance and ensuring service quality.

This role includes renewals, plan design education, regulatory compliance guidance (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500), and cross-functional collaboration to grow and retain client relationships; on-site client meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing employee benefits accounts and client relationships.
• Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500 reporting, and Health Care Reform.
• Ability to educate clients on plan design, funding, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business, primarily fully insured, with some self-insured plans.
• Serve as the main liaison between clients and insurance carriers.
• Educate and advise clients on compliance matters (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500).
• Set up new group contracts and oversee annual renewals.
• Support program implementation, wellness, communications, and pharmacy initiatives.
• Assist with marketing and placement of new benefit products.
• Develop strategies, model plans, and identify cost reductions.
• Collaborate to grow and retain client relationships, and participate in meetings.
