WellLife Network is seeking an EES Specialist in Elmont, NY to manage systems that track benefit applications and appeals. You will explain options to consumers based on their financial situation and serve as a liaison with governmental agencies until individuals can advocate for themselves.

The role requires handling confidential information under HIPAA, coordinating with multiple agencies, and generating reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Must have good follow-up and documentation skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities populations preferred; NY driver’s license and vehicle required.

Responsabilités

• Manage and operate systems to track stages of benefit applications and appeals.
• Provide consumers with options and explain consequences based on their financial situation.
• Act as liaison between consumer and governmental agencies until consumer education is complete.
• Travel to government/private agencies for ALJ hearings, interviews, and Social Security visits as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA in all activities.
• Prepare narratives, Excel reports, and statistics on benefits status; update department database.
