Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Part Time Seasonal Lodging Porter for Schweitzer. This on-site role greets guests, assists with luggage, and guides guests between lodging properties and parking areas, providing information on local services and activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Front Desk and Housekeeping to ensure a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure, maintaining a professional appearance, and handling calls and light duties around the lodges.

Qualifications

• Minimum education required - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum time in related position - One year work experience in guest service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort incoming and outgoing lodging guests between Schweitzer properties and parking lots.
• Provide information about available services and facilities of lodges and Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to guest requests with local knowledge.
• Assist with luggage handling and transport, load luggage into vehicles, and ensure luggage carts are accessible.
• Maintain a professional appearance and collaborate with Front Desk and Housekeeping to ensure a quality guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Clean guest accommodations and common spaces; answer and transfer calls; assist with coffee orders.
• Lift 50+ lbs as needed and comply with dress code and safety standards.

Employment Status: Part Time Seasonal Wage Range: $15.00 to $16.00/hour Minimum Age: 18 Background Check Required: No Driver Verification Required: Yes

Position Summary: Responsible for escorting incoming and outgoing lodging guests between Schweitzer properties and parking lots. Offers pertinent information regarding available services and facilities of the lodges and Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Recognize and greet guests, extending warmth and hospitality Respond appropriately to guest requests by having thorough knowledge of local facilities, points of interest and entertainment attractions. Assist with equipment porterage. Load up Schweitzer vehicles with luggage for transport, tagging/delivering luggage, and locating and ensuring luggage carts are accessible for guest use. Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, adhering to departmental dress code. Work closely with the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments to ensure a quality guest experience from arrival to departure.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Clean guest accommodations and common spaces
• Answer and transfer calls
• Assist with Coffee orders and deliver coffee to rooms
• Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

• License/Certifications- Driver’s License preferred
• Technical- None
• Physical Capabilities- Lift 50+ lbs
• Additional- computer proficiency preferred.
