The Langham, Chicago seeks a Bell/Door Attendant to warmly welcome guests and manage entrance operations with the utmost professionalism. You will assist with luggage, open doors, coordinate taxis, and provide clear directions while upholding Langham and Forbes standards.

This role requires strong English communication, a hospitable demeanor, and the ability to work closely with a team to maintain a seamless guest arrival experience at The Langham Chicago.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to read luggage tags and write information accurately on claims and rooming lists.
• Knowledge of Chicago and surrounding areas for guest guidance.
• Able to learn and perform essential functions with minimal supervision within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Present a warm, hospitable attitude to all guests.
• Maintain driveway traffic flow for main hotel entrance access.
• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and open car doors for arrivals/departures.
• Assist with taxi coordination and provide travel estimates to guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries about hotel features, services, and directions.
• Assist with luggage and package handling at entry points.
• Adhere to Forbes Service Standards and Langham Brand guidelines.
• Answer entrance phone with clear, accurate information.
• Maintain alertness and calmness during peak periods.
• Communicate parking procedures and costs to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
