Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska seeks Bell Desk Staff to ensure guests receive a warm, welcoming first impression and a remarkable stay.

You will escort guests to rooms, assist with hand luggage, share information about services and local attractions, explain room features, and handle luggage transfers.

This full-time role offers $16.00 per hour, year-round and seasonal schedules, employee housing, paid time off, and other resort perks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid US driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience; prior hotel or tourism experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Explain room features and how to use TV, safe, locks, and telephone.
• Transfer guest luggage and arrange for freight or mail shipments.

What You’ll Do

As a Bell Desk Staff you’ll play anessential role in providing a great first impression and setting the table for guests to have a remarkable stay.

Your responsibilities will include:

Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage

,

and offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of Resort, local points of interest, and events.

Explain features of room such as the operation of television, safe, locks, and how to place telephone calls.

Transfer guest luggage, trunks, packages, and other baggage to guest room or loading area.

Arrange for outgoing freight, express or mail shipments, computes charges, tags article, and records information, such as addressee, addressor, carrier, and charges, on specified forms.

Supply guests with travel information such as transportation rates, routes, and schedules.

Greet arriving and departing guests and answer inquiries or direct to proper person.

Inspect guest room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.

Deliver messages and run errands; deliver packages, suitcases, and trunks.

Park guest vehicles in Valet lot.

What We Need

Must be at least 21 years of age and have valid US Driver’s License (with clean driving record).

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training.

Prior experience in hotel or tourism industry preferred.

Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment.

Adapt to seasonal changes around the resort and special events.
