Job summary

Kennedy Krieger Institute, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Associate at the Powder Mill (Beltsville, MD) campus to support Classroom, Behavioral Services, and Mental Health staff.

Qualifications

• Must achieve, possess, and maintain PCM certification within department timeline.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic classroom coverage as needed and assigned by supervisor.
• Respond to behavioral crises as part of school-wide crisis management procedures.
• Implement behavioral goals and objectives for students per IEP.
• Apply behavior management strategies and protocols for students.
• Maintain documentation and records on students; assist with incident reporting system.
• Support in resource areas with behavioral supports, documentation, and adherence to program policies.
• Assist with FBA, BIP conception, implementation, and materials.
• Assist with writing reports, graphing data, and documenting FBAs/BIPs.
• Collect and review data for evaluating classroom practice and Therapeutic Behavioral Aide billing.
• Provide summarized program data to Behavioral Services Case Managers and Administration.
• Maintain communication with clinical department regarding caseload issues.
• Assist with training and in-service for behavior and crisis management.
