Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will work one-on-one with assigned students under IEP goals, implement behavior support plans, and collect data to track progress. Join a multidisciplinary team providing holistic guidance and growth opportunities in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings with intensive behavioral needs preferred.
• Must be 19 or older to work as a paraprofessional.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and safety procedures.
• Foster a positive environment and inclusive social/behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored during transit to locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
