Job summary

Devereux’s Mapleton School in Malvern, PA seeks Teacher Assistants to provide direct behavioral intervention to students within a supportive, educational environment focused on current behavior interventions and PBIS. 52-week positions with a Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule offer growth opportunities and a strong, multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (Special Education preferred) and experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety
• Assist in establishing classroom environments conducive to learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors
• Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher
