Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking Teacher Assistants to support students at the Brandywine School in West Chester, PA. The role focuses on direct behavioral intervention within an educational setting using PBIS, with a 52-week year schedule and day hours from 8am to 4pm.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, implement IEP-goal strategies, and contribute to a supportive, clinically oriented environment that emphasizes safety, learning, and data-driven progress.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• Experience: Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.
• Must be 21 years old

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety.
• Assist in establishing classroom environments conducive to learning and guide students to socially appropriate behaviors.
• Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher.
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives.
