Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health’s Brandywine School in West Chester, PA is seeking Teacher Assistants to provide direct behavioral intervention to students in an educational setting focused on PBIS.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team, support daily student safety, implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs, and work with Special Education Teachers to collect data and reinforce PBIS goals. Positions run 52 weeks, with standard school year rhythm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.
• Must be 21 years old

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety
• Establish classroom environments conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors
• Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives
