Job summary

Devereux’s Brandywine School in West Chester, PA is seeking Teacher Assistants to provide direct behavioral intervention to students in an educational setting focused on current behavior interventions and PBIS. Positions are year-long, Monday through Friday, 8am–4pm, with salary $41,600–$47,424 annually based on experience.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, support and reinforce PBIS goals, and participate in data collection and collaboration with Special Education Teachers to foster

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety.
• Assist in establishing classroom environments that are conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors.
• Work with the Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher.
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives.
