Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Malvern, PA, is seeking a Head Teacher to supervise and support on-site Special Education Teachers across Mapleton School and Devereux Day Academy. The 52-week teaching role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with 4 days in Malvern and 1 day in Norristown.

The Head Teacher will oversee IEPs, co-teach, and lead in classroom implementation of new instructional strategies, serving as a building-level leader in curricular resources.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Special Education and current PA instructional certification (I or II). Supervisory certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to on-site Special Education Teachers.
• Assist in development and implementation of the school program administration.
• Oversee IEPs and IEP processes; manage initial transitions for new students within 30 days.
• Co-teach and support teachers in adopting new skills in classrooms.
• Serve as a building-level leader with core and supplementary curricular resources.
