Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Unit Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the clinical unit. You will handle registrations, verify insurance, manage the EHR, and assist with discharges and communications with the clinical team.

You will also greet visitors, coordinate with staff, and support patient safety and security while delivering friendly, professional service to families and providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of exceptional customer service-oriented work experience.
• 3 years of clerical experience required.
• Current Notary or ability to become a notary within 90 days.
• Must pass background checks: Child Abuse, FBI, PA State Police.
• Company vaccination policy requires full vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Register individuals for services and verify Medicaid eligibility and insurance.
• Coordinate with clinical staff on patient concerns and care.
• Greet visitors and manage security and logbook procedures.
• Maintain and update EHR episode of care and coordinate discharges.
• Obtain and manage clinical records and communicate with physicians and nurses.
• Assist with 302 involuntary processes across departments.
• Order meals and supplies for daily unit operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to families, visitors, and vendors.
• Answer calls, transfer information, and relay messages as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support unit efficiency.
