Behavioral Health Technician Community Programs

Full Time, primarily M-F with additional hours and weekends as needed.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for Community Programs serves as a direct-service clinician implementing skills from the treatment plan with clients and caregivers. They utilize, under the guidance of the Behavior Consultant (BC) and/or Behavior Analyst (BA), Applied Behavior Analysis to build target skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

Job Duties:

1. Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis intervention to children with Autism to improve their goals and objectives as outlined in the treatment plan. This includes Intensive Teaching, Verbal Operants, Mand Training, Shaping, Natural Environment Teaching, and Behavioral Contingencies.
2. Structure sessions and prepare activities that address clients’ goals, both independently and with the BCBA/BC's assistance.
3. Support and assist caregivers in developing the client through modeling, teaching, role-play, and encouraging session participation.
4. Create a therapeutic environment using principles of pairing and reinforcement, adopting a strength-based approach.
5. Collaborate with the BCBA and/or BC, Supervisor, Case Managers, Program Manager, and team members to ensure effective implementation of the treatment plan.
6. Complete all documentation professionally, legibly, and promptly.
7. Routinely record behavioral data in accordance with the treatment plan.

Qualifications:

• Complete 40 hours of RBT training before seeing clients in-person.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
