The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based, customer-facing role, primarily working inside hospitals. You will troubleshoot and repair medical equipment used in surgical procedures, and support installation of complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic units. Our main equipment portfolio includes washers and sterilizers, the core of our company since inception. Join us to advance your career!

Ideal candidates often have experience in HVAC repair, mechanics, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, equipment repair, diesel and automotive repair, aviation repair, plumbing, or electrical work.

This role is based remotely. Candidates must reside in New Jersey to support and service our customers in this territory.

What you'll do as an Equipment Service Technician:

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment, systems, and components.
• Manage time effectively by prioritizing customer and business needs to complete preventive maintenance, service calls, warranty work, equipment installations, and upgrades.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to escalate issues and use advanced technology platforms to ensure compliance and resolve troubleshooting issues.
• Provide customers with information, pricing, and repair options. Build relationships with sales to enhance customer experience and identify sales opportunities.
• Support various locations within your territory based on service agreements and customer needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a mechanical/technical role. Certifications or military experience in related fields are considered.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and physical assessments for vendor credentialing.
• Customer engagement and teamwork experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Windows, email, mobile apps, data entry).
• Flexible schedule with potential overnight, early, or late hours.
• Compliance with hospital and customer credentialing requirements.

Pay range: $47,750 - $66,937.50, plus potential commissions. Compensation depends on experience, education, certifications, and other factors.
