Job summary

Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL, seeks a part-time caregiver for the Adult Psychiatry Unit - Float. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide direct patient care, and participate in diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.

You will observe patient behavior, document changes, and communicate with the care team to modify treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA or ARC).
• CPI crisis prevention certification preferred.
• Illinois Nurse Aide credential preferred.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
