Job summary

Ascension's Foglia Family Foundation facility in Elk Grove Village, IL seeks caregivers to support patients in the Chemical Dependency department. Duties include ADL assistance, direct patient care, and monitoring patient behavior under day-shift/PRN schedules.

Training in crisis prevention and health care procedures is required or preferred. Join a nonprofit Catholic health system known for service, growth, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• CPI certification preferred (Crisis Prevention Institute).
• Nurse Aide credential from IDPH preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use/detox, or psychiatry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report changes in condition and suggest treatment plan modifications.

• Schedule: Day shift | PRN | 7:00 am - 7:30 pm

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) preferred. ⢠Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Experience in behavioral health, substance use/detox, and psychiatry
