Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor's in human services or psychology preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with adolescent populations preferred.
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License with clean driving record required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred; training provided.
  • Strong quick-decision making and alignment with Embark's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure client safety and emotional well-being through supervision and documentation.
  • Maintain structure and boundaries to support a therapeutic environment.
  • Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care.
  • Assist with academics and daily routines.
  • Support recreational and therapeutic activities and animal-assisted programming.
  • Contribute to residential upkeep and meal service as needed.

Embark Behavioral Health in Bend, Oregon is hiring compassionate, purpose-driven Behavioral Health Technician's to join our team. In this essential role, you’ll support pre-teen ages 10-17 in a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment, helping them grow through experiential learning, animal-assisted activities, academic support, and emotional skill-building.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure client safety and emotional well-being through active supervision and documentation
  • Maintain structure and boundaries to foster a supportive environment
  • Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care
  • Assist with academic tasks and daily routines
  • Participate in recreational and therapeutic activities (arts, crafts, sports, nature walks)
  • Support residential upkeep, animal care, and occasional meal service
Qualifications
  • Age: 21+ years of age or older
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required. Associates or bachelor's in human services, psychology, criminal justice or minimum of 2 years' experience working in Human Services, preferred.
  • Skills: Quick decision-making skills and a growth mindset with a focus on Embarks core values.
  • Experience: Min of 1 year of experience working with adolescent populations is preferred
  • Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon Driver’s License with a clean driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred, will provide training
  • Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screen and federal and state background check in concordance with Oregon state laws.
