Embark Behavioral Health in Bend, Oregon is hiring compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians to support pre-teens 10-17 in a safe, trauma-informed setting, offering experiential learning, animal-assisted activities, academic support, and emotional skill-building. The role emphasizes crisis response, structured routines, and collaborative care with our residential treatment team.

Applicants with mental health or crisis-response backgrounds are encouraged to apply; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor's in human services or psychology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with adolescent populations preferred.
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License with clean driving record required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred; training provided.
• Strong quick-decision making and alignment with Embark's core values.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client safety and emotional well-being through supervision and documentation.
• Maintain structure and boundaries to support a therapeutic environment.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care.
• Assist with academics and daily routines.
• Support recreational and therapeutic activities and animal-assisted programming.
• Contribute to residential upkeep and meal service as needed.
