Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Bend, Oregon is hiring a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our overnight care team. This part-time, onsite role supports preteens aged 10–17 in a safe, trauma-informed environment, helping them grow through experiential learning, animal-assisted activities, academic support, and emotional skill-building.

Schedule is Friday through Sunday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Qualifications include High school diploma, a valid Oregon driver’s license, First Aid & CPR,

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid State of Oregon driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and be able to drive for work‑related purposes.
• Current First Aid & CPR certifications.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Ability to physically perform job duties, including crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client safety and emotional well-being through active overnight supervision and timely documentation.
• Maintain a calm, supportive presence while monitoring overnight needs and routines.
• Guide adolescents through evening transitions and coping strategies.
• Respond empathetically to emotional or behavioral challenges using trauma-informed, de-escalation techniques.
• Support a clean, welcoming environment through nightly cleaning and facility upkeep.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with residential upkeep, animal care, and light administrative tasks.
