Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Substance BHT/Driver for our Outpatient Program in Metairie, LA. Join a nationwide network of rehab centers with a strong clinical program and a focus on compassionate care.

This role supports admissions, transport, and daily operations within an intensive outpatient setting. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and a commitment to sobriety if in recovery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff.
• Record and elevate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner.
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).
• Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
• Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with luggage.
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
