Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge is hiring a BHT Client Driver to provide day-to-day operational support to clinical teams, transport clients for admissions and appointments, and assist with meals, medications, and supervision. You will help create a warm, recovery-focused environment, maintain vehicle readiness, and handle administrative duties like shift documentation and inventory.

A valid driver's license and CPR certification are required, with sobriety of at least one year if in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification required.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of all motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff.
• Record and elevate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner.
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).
• Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary.
• Collect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
• Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with any luggage.
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
