Avenues Recovery Center in Metairie, LA seeks a Substance BHT/Driver for our Outpatient Program. You will support admissions, transport clients, and assist with daily operations to keep services running smoothly.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
Valid driver’s license and CPR certification preferred.
In recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills are essential.
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality desired.
Dignified character that models recovery principles.
Minimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
Extensive knowledge of all motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of clients and staff.
Record and elevate critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner.
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).
Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary.
Collect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with luggage.
Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use.

What You'll Do
