Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Lake Worth, FL is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to patients during recovery. You will spend significant time with patients, fostering trust while ensuring safety, under the supervision of Operations leadership.

Responsibilities include supervising patients, conducting safety checks, handling waivers and testing, and collaborating with clinical staff to support personalized care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Preferred: experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Flexibility for 12-hour shifts and on-site Lake Worth, FL.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients and ensure safety; report incidents to staff.
• Perform waive testing, vital signs, UDS and pregnancy tests per policy.
• Provide compassionate patient support and refer concerns to therapy staff.
• Communicate with Team Leader and operations staff to coordinate care.
• Assist in daily program activities, transport, group coordination, and discharge prep.
