Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide direct support in inpatient behavioral health, mental health, and substance use treatment programs. The role focuses on patient safety, engagement, and daily operations within a structured, recovery-focused environment.

The BHT serves as a key treatment team member, spending substantial time with patients to build rapport, observe behaviors, and support clinical staff through accurate communication

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 21; valid driver’s license if driving is assigned.
• Experience in behavioral health or mental health settings preferred.
• Detox/residential care experience preferred.
• Behavioral health certification or related education preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior and document observations for staff.
• Respond to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques.
• Ensure adherence to facility rules and therapeutic environment.
• Measure vital signs and conduct CLIA-waived testing where trained.
• Supervise medication self-administration when allowed by policy.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient movements.
• Support patient engagement in treatment and daily routines.
• Communicate patient information to supervisors and treatment team.
