Lakeview Health in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support clinical operations and patient care on a full-time basis. Qualifikationen

• Undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science, CRC, or CRSS preferred.
• One year experience in alcohol/drug treatment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand the principles of chemical dependency recovery.
• Maintain records and have good communication skills.
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be able to walk within the facility and grounds for portions of an eight-hour shift.
• Must be able to continuously sit for portions of an eight-hour shift.
• Must be able to administer CPR and be certified.

Aufgaben

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.
• Document hourly checks and ensure patients follow the Bradford Program Schedule.
• Supervise and sometimes facilitate patient activities as directed.
• Assure patients are in their rooms at designated times.
• Oversee med line to prevent diversion and de-escalate situations as they arise.
• Assist patients to and from activities, medication times, and meals when unable to walk.
• Assist the counselor as assigned and engage in documentation.
• Responsible for adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to assist patients in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment; manage communities and document shift reports.
• Attend staff training and programs as directed.
• Assist nurses as directed by supervisor.
• Drive patients to and from appointments and outings.
