Job summary

Lakeview Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Night Behavioral Health Technician to join our clinical team. The role involves supporting patients under our Bradford Program, monitoring safety, and assisting with daily activities and treatment sessions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with counselors, documenting shift reports, and ensuring patients attend scheduled activities, meals, and medication times. A compassionate, patient-centered approach is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science, CRC, or CRSS preferred.
• One year experience in alcohol/drug treatment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Strong communication and basic understanding of chemical dependency recovery.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.
• Must be aware of patient locations, at all times, circulating around the facility on a regular basis and document hourly checks.
• Assure that all patients follow the Bradford Program Schedule and are on time for each assignment.
• Supervise and sometime facilitate patient activities as directed.
• Assure the patients are in their rooms at the designated time in the evening.
• Oversee med line to prevent diversion and to de‑escalate situations as they arise.
• Assist patients to and from activities, medication times, and meals when unable to physically walk.
• Assist the counselor as assigned and engage in appropriate documentation.
• Responsible for the adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to assist patients in overcoming their denial and resistance to treatment and completion of treatment goals.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage communities, redirect behavior, and document shift reports.
• Attend staff training and programs as directed.
• Assist nurses as directed by supervisor.
• Drive patients to and from appointments, to include patient outings, as directed.
• Drive to purchase patient sundries and miscellaneous items; including nicotine products as directed.
