Optum's Genoa Healthcare internship program offers pharmacy students an inside look at behavioral health and addiction treatment services within a leading health care innovator. You will contribute to patient care by assisting pharmacists, coordinating records, and supporting immunization activities within a collaborative care team.

Pharmacist interns must be enrolled in an accredited PharmD program with at least one year completed, hold eligibility to work in the U.S.

Formación

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program with at least the first professional year completed before start of internship June 2027.
• Active licensure as a pharmacist intern or equivalent as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provide information to customers about medications and their use
• Perform clerical duties such as filing patient records and processing insurance claims
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by state boards of pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
• Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate the company's commitment to superior customer service
• Adhere to safety policies and communicate safety concerns to leadership
• Comply with policies set forth by the Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory bodies
• Use, protect, and disclose patients' PHI in accordance with HIPAA standards
