Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacist Intern in Columbus, OH to join a coordinated care team serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. You will support medication management, patient counseling, and in-clinic pharmacy services while adhering to HIPAA and board regulations.

The internship offers exposure to a wide range of pharmaceutical operations and collaboration with providers to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited PharmD program with at least the first professional year completed before internship start June 2027.
• Active licensure as a pharmacist intern or equivalent as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship (F-1 practical training and other visas not considered).

Responsabilités

• Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provide information to customers about medications and their use.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing patient records and processing insurance claims.
• Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy laws.
• Administer immunizations as allowed by state boards of pharmacy.
• Uphold HIPAA standards in handling patient information.
