Job summary

Ascension is hiring for a night-shift role in Behavioral Health at Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands. The position focuses on patient care, daily living support, and vital signs monitoring in a full-time night schedule.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED (or relevant experience) and BLS within 30 days of hire. Nurse Aide is preferred; education/licensure may substitute for experience where applicable.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care for patients with a wide-array of diagnoses.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Take Vital Signs during your shift and report findings to nursing staff.
• Contribute to the positive and encouraging physical, mental and emotional support for each patient.
