UAB Medicine is seeking a Behavioral Health Aide to provide direct patient care in the adult/geriatric unit at UAB St. Vincent’s East. You will work nights on a 3-shift schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am) as part of a collaborative team focused on stabilization, recovery, and long-term wellness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience or an associate/technical degree, and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire. CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire (AHA or Red Cross acceptable).
• Certified Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities; report changes and suggest treatment plan updates.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

Formation

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative relevant experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
