Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta, TN seeks a dedicated nursing aide to provide direct patient care in Med Surg during night shifts. You will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the nursing team.

Requirements include BLS within 30 days of hire and a high school diploma or equivalent. Nurse Aide preferred, with comprehensive health benefits and opportunities for growth within Ascension.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care for patients with a wide-array of diagnoses.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Take Vital Signs during your shift and report findings to nursing staff.
• Contribute to the positive and encouraging physical, mental and emotional support for each patient.
