Job summary

Adventist Health Saint Helena is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of an RN. You will assist with activities of daily living, patient safety, and support therapeutic programs in a per diem, night-shift role in a behavioral health setting.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and prefer an Associate’s degree or technical training.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Two years' experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements psychosocial interventions and assists with activities of daily living.
• Performs therapeutic activities and supports patient safety.
• Assists in documenting patient care information and coordinating with RN.
• Provides empathetic education to patients and families.
• Supports nursing staff with clerical duties and charting.
