Waterfall Community Health Center seeks a Behavioral Health Administrator to lead the Behavioral Health Department's operations, ensuring efficient, patient-centered care. The role oversees Psychiatry, Mental Health, and the Autism Program, and mentors non-clinical staff across admin functions.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a track record in multi-site coordination, policy development, and continuous improvement to support

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare, business administration, social work, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.
• 3+ years managing teams of 15+ people.
• Experience with non-profit organizations preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health settings serving diverse populations.
• Bilingual (Spanish) fluency qualifies for additional compensation.
• Current First Aid or BLS certification or completion within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with staff, managers, and local, state, and federal stakeholders.
• Coordinate BHD initiatives with prompt responses to inquiries.
• Review and monitor follow up actions on BH initiatives and correspondence.
• Analyze information required for administrative reporting.
• Develop policies for a sustainable integrated behavioral health program.
• Collaborate with QI to improve patient experience with metrics and tools.
• Identify, track, and report grant opportunities and assist in compliance.
• Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Provide admin support for calendars, agendas, minutes, and project status.
• Oversee confidential files and ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Ensure staff work within scope of practice and compliance.
• Train staff and maintain clinic policies and procedures.
• Work with OHA on ROADS and related reporting.
• Supervise Mental Health Technicians and other staff.
• Oversee DHS TANF program invoices and reporting.
• Work independently and communicate effectively; recruit/mentor with HR.
• Promote integrity and ethics; expand community resources knowledge.
• Perform other duties to support mission and remove barriers.
