Job summary

Boston Medical Center - South is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Navigator (LMHC/LICSW/psychologist) to work with an interdisciplinary team in the Emergency Department behavioral health crisis. You will assess patients, plan care with providers, and coordinate referrals.

Responsibilities include documentation, education of team and patients, and staying current with regulatory requirements. The role supports health literacy and patient engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts independent license required (LMHC/LICSW/psychologist).
• 2–3 years of direct diagnostic experience preferred.
• Experience with interdisciplinary care and patient care planning desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs confidential assessments via in-person or telemedicine to determine patient needs.
• Collaborates with medical professionals to plan treatment and overcome barriers to care.
• Documents assessments and care plans in the patient record per HIPAA and standards.
