Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Navigator (LMHC, LICSW, or licensed psychologist) to work with an interdisciplinary team in the Emergency Department. Qualifications include an MSW or Masters in Counseling and a preferred Doctorate in Psychology or Social Work, along with independent licensure in Massachusetts

Qualifications

• MSW or Master’s in Counseling.
• Doctorate in Psychology or Social Work preferred.
• Licensure at independent level in Massachusetts.
• Licensed Psychologists, LICSW, or LMHC required.
• 2–3 years of direct diagnostic experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs confidential interviews, in person or via telemedicine, to assess patient needs from ED referrals.
• Collaborates with related health professionals to plan care and remove barriers to access.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and plans in the patients medical record per HIPAA and standards.
• Provides education to team members and consumers to support engagement in care.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
