Job summary

StevenDouglas, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks an experienced operating executive to lead a Management Services Organization supporting two behavioral health practices. This role oversees non-clinical functions—finance, RCM, HR, administration, marketing/admissions, and real estate/facilities—and partners with clinical leadership to ensure alignment with each practice's mission.

Qualifications

• Healthcare operations leadership experience, ideally in behavioral health or multi-site clinician-led settings.
• Experience running a multi-functional shared-services org (finance, HR, RCM, marketing).
• Strong financial acumen—budgeting, reporting, translating data into accountability.
• Experience with private equity-backed organizations (board reporting, value creation, investor relations).
• Proven ability to lead teams through growth, scaling, or transition.
• Track record building collaborative relationships with clinical leaders/physicians.
• Excellent communication; comfortable leading through influence over authority.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• Based in the Bay Area, CA with willingness to travel regularly across sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop functional leaders across finance, RCM, HR, admin, marketing/admissions, and real estate/facilities.
• Set priorities, performance expectations, and accountability across the shared-services organization.
• Serve as liaison between administrative and clinical leadership at both practices.
• Build trust-based relationships with physicians, therapists, and program directors.
• Partner with ownership and the Board on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and new locations.
• Own financial planning & budgeting, and growth modeling.
• Present operating and financial updates to leadership and the Board.
• Represent the organization in key external relationships (payors, vendors, community partners).
