Job summary

Community Health Choice in Houston, TX seeks a Manager, Behavioral Health to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health team, supporting the Director in clinical operations, quality activities, staff oversight, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures case management and utilization workflows are implemented and performance standards are met.

The Manager provides direct supervision of assigned staff, ensures appropriate work allocation, and collaborates with other departments

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling and Texas licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or LPC).
• 5 years of combined case management and utilization management experience.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory/management experience in a managed care environment.
• Advanced PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health team to support productivity, quality, and service expectations.
• Monitors staff assignments, workload distribution, and pended cases to support timely case management and utilization management.
• Reviews productivity and operational reports and escalates trends to department leadership.
• Coordinates clinical rounds and coaches staff in preparing case summaries and presenting cases.
• Supports onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for assigned staff.
• Works with cross-functional teams to improve clinical care and service delivery.
